SignalHVAC, Inc. ("SignalHVAC", "we", "our") operates the SignalHVAC chat on signalhvac.io and in the SignalHVAC apps for iPhone and Android. This page describes what we collect, what we do with it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Account data: your username and email address.
- Conversation content: the text you send, the photos you attach to a message, and the assistant's replies.
- Operational logs: short-lived server logs, such as the app platform and version and error details, used to run and debug the service.
How we use it
- To answer your questions. Your messages and photos are sent to SignalHVAC's servers and then to our AI model providers — OpenAI for chat replies and titles, and Google when you ask to highlight a manual page — to produce the reply.
- To keep your conversation history so you can come back to it.
- To communicate with you and provide support.
- Your data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to track you across other apps or websites. The apps contain no advertising SDKs.
How long we keep it
Conversations are kept until you delete them or delete your account.
Delete your account
You can delete your SignalHVAC account and all of its conversations yourself:
- In the SignalHVAC app: open the menu, choose your name, then Settings → Delete account.
- On the website: sign in at signalhvac.io, open your name in the sidebar, then Settings → Delete account.
Deleting your account removes your profile, your sign-in, and every conversation, including attached photos. It cannot be undone. You can also email privacy@signalhvac.io and we will delete it for you.
Your rights
You may request access to or export of your account data at any time by emailing privacy@signalhvac.io. If you're an EU/UK resident, we process your data on the legal bases of contract and legitimate interest, and you have the rights granted to you under the GDPR/UK GDPR.
